Krisla Strand - Lead Teacher
Krisla graduated Lesley University and is Lead Teacher/Director certified. She worked at Echo Falls Preschool from 2001 to 2010 and rejoined Jennifer at Echo Falls in 2022 (having left after 8 years to start a family). Between 2012 and 2022, Krisla worked at 4 different schools with children aged 15 months through 5 years, in both private and public school settings with children of varying developmental needs. In the summer she worked at camps, both private and public, with children ages 4 through 16 years old. Krisla has volunteered in a NPS library, with her daughter’s schools PTO and for Newton Parks and Recreation Ski Program. While she has enjoyed her experiences working with children on many different levels, and teaching in a variety of settings, she is excited to be back at the preschool her daughter attended and had an amazing learning experience.
Krisla grew up here in Newton, returned to Newtonville with her husband to raise their now teenage human and pandemic-pup, Onyx. As a family they enjoy camping (with the dog), skiing (without Onyx) and biking to local restaurants.
